Adult
Depending on the breed, environment, temperament, and stress levels, different foods will be needed. Depending on how active or stressed they are, show dogs and working dogs may need to eat more. To maintain a healthy body weight, food intake should be modified.
Puppies
At around four weeks old, puppies can start eating Valu-Pak Free 28-20 Dog Food. Feed puppies all the wet food they will need three times per day until they are six months old, then twice per day until they are nine months old (using warm, not hot) water. Valu-Pak Free 28-20 Dog Food can always be maintained in front of the puppies if it is served dry. The amount fed should be enough to sustain consistent, healthy weight and growth, but not too much to encourage early, excessive weight gain or growth.
Pregnancy and Nursing
The additional nourishment required for reproducing females during the gestational and lactational periods is provided by Valu-Pak Free 28-20. During pregnancy, food consumption may fluctuate, so feed the pregnant woman as much as is necessary to keep her in good physical shape. Up to four times as much food as is typically consumed can be consumed.
